In the present scenario of a competitive world, keeping pace with the emerging technologies is a must. At the faculty of engineering and technology, we aim to provide such education to the student, which, not only keeps them updated with the latest technology but also inculcates in them the scientific fervor and intellect. The Faculty of Engineering and Technology with its highly qualified, motivated and committed faculty members, strives for a holistic approach towards studies. It aims to cater to the industrial demands and at the same time providing an all round development to its students.

To keep pace with the emerging technologies, all the undergraduate, graduate and post graduate courses have been revised and redesigned to give them the ability to compete internationally as well as at home. This has been devised keeping in mind the large number of students that have moved on to organizations and companies of high repute, in India as well as abroad. The curriculum provided in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology is an intersection of interests and knowledge providing a wide range of possibilities. It is flexible and shaped in such a way that the students get to follow their interests with the advancements in their learning.

As one of the nation’s premier Engineering College, Jamia Millia Islamia is dedicated to advancing technical knowledge and inculcating a symbiotic relationship between the industry and the students. In bridging the gap between the corporate and institute, emphasis is also on instilling among the students, an aptitude for research and development. Jamia Millia Islamia has been a leader in cutting edge educational initiatives and would remain so in the years to come.

Dr. Khalid Moin completed his Bachelors in Engineering from AMU Aligarh, and pursued his M.Tech and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee respectively. He served as the HOD of Civil Engineering from August 2007 to August 2010 and since then, has served as the Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia.  He also serves as the Chairman, Indian Society of Earthquake Technology (ISET), Delhi Chapter. He has served as the Nodal Officer, Jamia Millia Islamia to liaison between Jamia Millia Islamia, CPWD and Architect for five building projects costing more than Rs. 100 Crore and also RITES for two projects including prestigious project of ‘Museum for independence’ sponsored by GoI, costing more than Rs. 60 Crores. President, Athletics, Jamia Millia Islamia.
