After months of toil and labor, the Official Information Portal of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia, was finally released on the auspicious day of Friday, 24 June 2011 at 1900 hours. The Faculty website was released as a part of the JMIFET Project which aims at the overall development of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia and is an initiative taken up by the students of the faculty. The Portal is backed by the administration and is designed under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia; Mr. Najeeb Jung, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Khalid Moin; Training and Placement Officer of Jamia Millia Islamia, Mr. Rihan Khan Suri, and was led by the Project Managers, Imran Ali, ECE 2011; Ankit Talwar, ECE 2008; Shariq Chisti, CSE 2008. The Project has several other initiatives in the pipeline, like the Knowledge Repository, the Mentorship Programme, Jobs and Internship Portal, Monthly NewsletterAlumni Advisory Board on the lines of the highly reputed universities like Harvard, Stanford, Wharton and Carnegie Mellon, etc. The Portal is aimed to improve the web presence of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and thus improve the corporate- faculty and industry-faculty interaction.

For a total of 350 seats in B. Tech a total of 1100+ candidates have been called for interview. Interviews will commence from 27th June 2011. You can view the results here.
